This conference has always endeavored to cover both the state-of-the-art industry practice of process chemistry and important novel methodologies that will impact process R&D capabilities in the near future. This year, the 8th annual “Process Chemistry in the Pharmaceutical Industry” conference, chaired by Vittorio Farina of Johnson & Johnson, Mo Movassaghi of MIT, will again feature noted academic and industry speakers to accomplish this objective, but in addition, a special program on continuous manufacturing has been arranged by James Evans of the Novartis-MIT Center for Continuous Manufacturing and Kevin Bittorf of Vertex. The conference will begin with the continuous manufacturing program, which will highlight the current state of the art in continuous pharmaceutical process development.
